Twitter is replacing favourite with heart

And with that royally messed up move, Twitter is changing the meaning of everything you ever favourited. Favourites used to serve as a lot of thing.

The secret of the favourite lay in its ambiguity: a favourite is a bookmark, an acknowledgment, a thanks, and of course a favourite.

A heart is a heart. It means you somehow like the tweet and a favourite need not imply that because it was a star; it was akin to starring a tweet.

If this was a new thing, it would be great, but looking over your old tweets whose meanings have now changed (dramatically), ask yourself, would you have hearted that?
